  • The Privacy CoOperation takes your privacy seriously. We process your personal data when you use our website or our services, or because you provide this data to us yourself.
  • We advise you to consult this privacy statement regularly, as changes to our privacy policy may come into effect.
  • Within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), The Privacy CoOperation is the so-called controller.

A. The following data is collected via the website:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Telephone
  • Other personal data that you actively provide when contacting us
  • Location details
  • Information about your activities on our website
  • IP address
  • Internet browser and device type

3. Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

A. Minor

  1. Our website and services do not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age, unless written permission has been obtained from their parents or guardian. The Privacy CoOperation cannot verify whether a visitor is over the age of 16, so we recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities. Together, we can prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent.

B. Contact us if you suspect an error

  1. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without the aforementioned consent, please contact us at info@theprivacycooperation.nl. We will then immediately delete this information.

4. Why and how long we need data

A. The Privacy CoOperation processes your personal data for the following purposes: 1. To provide you with our services;

  • To be able to email you if this is necessary to perform our services;
  • To give you the opportunity to request a consultation via the website;
  • Send you our newsletter when you have subscribed to it;
  • To send you information upon request in response to the contact form and finally;
  • Analyzing your behavior on the website in order to improve our website and tailor it to your preferences.

B. Retention periods

  • The Privacy CoOperation will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. If you would like information about our retention periods in your specific case, please contact us at: info@theprivacycooperation.nl.
  • We retain your personal data for as long as there is a relationship between you and us (either based on consent or based on the performance of a contract for services). Once the relationship between you and us has ended (because you have withdrawn your consent or because the contract for services has come to an end), we will retain your data for a further seven years.

5. Processing by third parties

  • In addition to any cookies we may use, as set out in our cookie statement, we share the data we collect from you on this website with the following third parties:
    • External party for website hosting 
  • We have made clear agreements with the above processors. We require these third parties to apply at least the same level of security to personal data as we do as the controller.
  • We implement both technical and organizational measures to ensure that the personal data we process is secure and does not get lost. These measures comply with the applicable legal standards and regulations.
    • One example of a technical measure is that we have advanced protection against cyberattacks. For example, we implement enterprise-grade endpoint security on all devices to provide protection against ransomware and other cyber threats, including activating advanced security features against phishing in email attachments and links.
    • An example of an organizational measure is restricting access to sensitive company data. Only authorized employees have access to your personal data, and their access rights are managed according to the "need-to-know" principle, allowing us to maintain strict control over who can view and edit specific information.

6. Mapping your website visit

A. Cookies

  1. The Privacy CoOperation uses cookies. There are different types:
    1. Functional cookies: These are cookies with a purely technical functionality. They ensure that the website works properly; for example, they can remember your preferred settings. They also enable us to optimize our website and the services we offer through it.
    2. Third-party analytical cookies: These cookies may track your browsing behavior. These cookies are placed when analytical service providers, such as Google Analytics, are used.
    3. Tracking cookies: These cookies are placed by an external party. By reading the cookies, the advertiser recognizes you when you visit a site with which they are also involved. If you continue browsing, personalized advertisements may be displayed. These cookies can also track your browsing behavior, allowing these parties to build up a very specific profile. This profile can be so detailed that it constitutes personal data.

B. What if you don't like cookies?

  1. Your cookie settings were set by you when you first visited our website. All non-functional cookies can be rejected by category. Cookies other than functional or anonymous analytical cookies will only be placed after you, as a visitor, have taken active steps to do so. You can change your settings at any time via our website.

7. Viewing, modifying, or deleting data

A. Your rights

  1. You have the right to:
    1. view your personal data;
    2. submit a request for correction of data;
    3. request that we process less data;
    4. request the deletion of your data;
    5. have your data transferred to someone else;
    6. file a complaint as further described in Article 8.
  2. If you have any questions or comments about The Privacy CoOperation's data processing, please send a request to info@theprivacycooperation.nl.
  3. The Privacy CoOperation wants to be sure that the request for access has been made by you. That is why we kindly ask you to send a copy of your ID with your request for access, correction, or deletion. To protect your privacy, The Privacy CoOperation requests that you black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Social Security Number (SSN) in this copy.
  4. The Privacy CoOperation will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks.
  5. There are no costs associated with exercising your rights.

8. Right to complain

A. Internal treatment

  1. If you have any complaints about the way in which (personal) data is processed, The Privacy CoOperation will be happy to help you resolve these in mutual consultation. Please address your complaint in the first instance to info@theprivacycooperation.nl.

B. Data Protection Authority

  1. Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority about our processing of your personal data. To do so, please contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority. 9. Secure communication through SSL encryption

A. SSL

  1. To protect you as a website visitor, The Privacy CoOperation uses secure encryption technologies. With SSL (Secure Socket Layer), your personal data is encrypted when used on our site (meaning it is not visible to third parties). This way, you can be sure that your data will only be visible to you and our server.
  2. We use SSL encryption for all parts of our site where your data is used, such as when filling out the contact form. You can check and recognize this yourself. When you are on an encrypted part of our site, you will see a lock symbol appear at the bottom right or top left of your browser. In addition, the URL will change from http:// to https://, which also indicates that the page is secure.

B. We take security seriously

The Privacy CoOperation takes the protection of your data very seriously and therefore takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification.
